Sneak Peek!!

This is just a sneak peek at how I'm quilting Old Tobacco Road. It's turning out waaaaaaayyyyy
better than I thought it would with the variegated thread
and spiral pattern.
This is a picture of the back of the quilt on the machine--My Old girl Nellie. She works hard and was a gift from my husband's cousin Jennifer. The back is an old piece of yardage that I've had for years and thought the colors complimented Old Tobacco Road really well. Well I've got more quilting to do on it and I will post it as soon as I'm done. I've found that it feels just as good to completely finish a quilting project as it does to start a new one!!!
Happy Quilting !!!!!

Quilting Quilting Quilting!!!!!

I actually stopped all piecing and started doing some quilting. I had to MAKE myself stop piecing, isn't that pitiful? I have about 12 or 13 tops going AAAAAAAANNNDD I started the new mystery quilt from Quiltville.com and then caught myself and said "Okay, this has got to stop!!!" So, I am now finished with the Orange Crush. As you can see it is quilted and bound!! Yay!!

This is a shot of the back. Isn't this fabric UGLY?! I had to use it to get rid of it and the quilt IS for me so this was the perfect place to use it.

Here is a close up of the quilting. I just used white thread with an all over medium meander pattern.

Also finished a baby quilt that I have had in production for some time now. I used yo-yo's for the end edges and did an all over swirl pattern. It's sooooo cute!!!! Happy quilting all!!!!

Lazy Blogger!!!

I feel really bad because I haven't posted anything on my blog since Dec 4th!!! Yikes!!! On top of working on the new Quiltville mystery, I've been working on a long term project--a kingsized Grandmother's Flower Garden and 3x6 inch silk and assorted ties. I'm really liking how it's turning out on both but especially the ties since some of them are really ugly.
