This is just a sneak peek at how I'm quilting Old Tobacco Road. It's turning out waaaaaaayyyyy
better than I thought it would with the variegated thread
and spiral pattern.
This is a picture of the back of the quilt on the machine--My Old girl Nellie. She works hard and was a gift from my husband's cousin Jennifer. The back is an old piece of yardage that I've had for years and thought the colors complimented Old Tobacco Road really well. Well I've got more quilting to do on it and I will post it as soon as I'm done. I've found that it feels just as good to completely finish a quilting project as it does to start a new one!!!
Happy Quilting !!!!!

The backing is so perfect for that quilt, can't wait to see it quilted. I noticed you didn't pin baste and am curious how you baste your quilts for machine quilting.
I see you're using a Singer for your quilting. Do you drop the feed dogs, or can you? My Singer isn't the same make as yours, but I'm wondering if I can do the free-motion quilting. You do great work!
I love your Old Tobacco Road quilt! It is just beautiful. Your old Singers is wonderful, I have a 319 also, they are great.
