This is my DH's Hard Times rag quilt. It was fun to make but hard on the hands with all the quarter inch cuts you have to make but, hey he looks warm and happy. The back is soooooo colorful...I love it too!!! Hey this quilt has feet!!!!! I personalized it so his nieces don't run off with it!!! Brittney, Tiffani, Michaela...you know who I'm talkin' about!!!! See ya!!!
My Thumbs hurt!!!!! I just finished putting the binding on 2 quilts and they are now ready to go to their new homes in Arkansas, YAY!!! A Taste of Africa, for my brother David and his family and Four Patch and Furrows for my sister Phyllis and her family. Here are some pics for you of the finished products...
This is folded double over the back of my couch and it is heavy!!
Both quilts have a white soft cotton backing.
Here are some pics of the Africa quilt and some close ups of the more interesting quilted blocks.
Awwwwww, pretty quilted zebras...they're silk by the way...
This is a topper I started early this year and just put away. I really like the feathered star patterns and plan to find me a book with a number of different types of the stars. I am on the hunt!!!! I love all the little pieces and it turned out so pretty for my first one but even this color scheme is nice and the blocks are big so that made the topper large. This is going to be a gift quilt also. On to the quilting.
I finally finished this topper. I have been working on it for forever it seems but it is now done. This pattern is also from Bonnie's website. I love all of her country cabin feeling quilts and I love working with men's shirts. They're worn and washed and sturdy so you know they are going to make great quilts.
This one was made with lightweight and regular denim because I wanted a little bit of heaviness but not so much that I'm unable to move under it. (You know the kind!!!)
It's also very big and was hard to photograph so I had to take it outside too. Notice the stars at the cornerstones??? CUTE!!!
